A couple of days ago I posted the link to the first beta of IE8 for Windows XP. I mistakenly believed that Microsoft only released IE8 Beta 1 for the Windows XP platform but I was wrong. Here are all the links for the different Windows platforms:

I don't know if you know this but in IE there is short way to search for strings using Live Search by just entering "?" followed by a search string:
By default IE will use Live Search:

But what if you want to use Google instead? Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\
You can either create a new SearchScope or modify the existing one. For the sake of this post I will modify the existing one by specifying the following value for the URL string value:
http://www.google.com/search?q={searchTerms}

Microsoft has announced that the next version of Internet Explorer will be named IE8. The first VPC's to try out IE8 will be available for download later today or tomorrow.
