Team Foundation Server has been out for almost 3 years now and what I don't understand is why nobody has taken the time in those 3 years to create something similar like CCTray. There are so many open-source projects out there but nobody thought that a CCTray counterpart for TFS would be useful. I mean, what is the point of having Continuous Integration if you cannot report feedback back to the team. Sure, one could enable sending out emails but if you practice pair-programming you don't have your mail client open.
For a couple of weeks I have been using a preview version of the Build Notification tray applet power tool for TFS 2008 but there are some minor issues with it. I am glad to find out that a new version of the applet will be available with upcoming Team Foundation Server 2008 Power Tools release this month (?).
