Spending money on performance beast notebook is not worth the €€€

One thing I noticed is that it is certainly not worth the money spending 3000€ on a notebook that should in theory outperform a 1500€ notebook. Why not? The biggest bottleneck and more than often underestimated culprit are the device drivers. If these suck then you have a 3000€ netbook. I had to figure this out the hard way!

There are some nuances though. I mean let’s say we have a 1500€ Dell notebook and you upgrade the CPU, add extra RAM and a replace the standard HD with a faster 2.5 hard disk and this machine will cost you 1000€ more than it will probably outperform the 1500€ version. But if you get to choose between a 1500€ Dell and a 3000€ ASUS or any other brand notebook, then you are comparing apples with oranges. I won’t get tricked again in buying again high-end hardware! For all the device manufacturers out there: OPTIMIZE YOUR DARN DRIVERS!!
